Chrysler Valiant 1960

Hi all,

I got some really good ref pics at EBay yesterday on this baby.
(From time to time i fish there for some good pictures on this car, it has been on my wishlist for years.)
It was the first compact by Chrysler, the 1960 Valiant. From the trio of 1960 low-priced new compacts (Falcon by Ford, Corvair by GM and this one) the Valiant was the most lavishly styled. Its characteristic features were the European-like grille and the fake spare tire on the trunk, besides the wings both fore and aft the body.
In its first year the car was simply the Valiant, but in 61 it was included in the Plymouth line.

My model will be the 4-door version. Maybe the entry-level V-100 economy model.

Here's the start, trunk wheel cover and pillars not done yet. There's still a good deal of tweaking to go on the bodyshell.
Thanks for looking!
