charging a battery is pretty simply and straightforward with a charger.. just plug it in and follow the instructions that came with it..
if that doesnt work, there's always jump-starting the car with someone else's battery, then you can drive it around, and your alternator will recharge your battery.. but if you and everyone you know happen to be really clueless about car stuff, you're better off just taking it somewhere and telling them to change the battery for you..
