I noticed that you don't even need the squars of two.. any size where the result of dividing the width and hight gives a round number works great.
For example: if you make your print 1000x500 then you would get this: 1000/500=2
the prinicple goes for any size.. so you'll even get a nice result if you'd use 852x426 or 999x333
Aslong as the ratio between hight and width remains a round number it should look fine (this is also why the swuars of two look fine, but really any size will be fine aslong as the ratio is a round number)
