poly modeling with cylinders.

ok so most people who use poly modeling in max know of this problem, when cylinder are coming out of cylinders

like this

i have always been able to cover up and problems that arise from cutting them together, but using bolean to join them or cutting them up isnt doing the job any more.

here another explain of a similar situation, that had been causeing problems for me,

so i was just wondering if anyone has a magical fix, or a differnet modeling method when it comes to these parts.

i have been racking my brain, trying and test different methods the past 4 days, to nothing.

the only thing i have come up with is change program, to something like soildworks, i have always wanted to change because my project are becoming more mechincaly inclinded. but i thought i would see what max still has to offer, i dont want to change but i will if i cant find a good enought fix for this problem.

Yes this viper block is kicking my arse atm, and i am strugling to find a fix for this no mater how i model it it turns out ****.

well if you ahve any ideas, i would love to hear them
