1954 Chevrolet 210

Hello all

The 54 Chevrolet was the last specimen of a reliable and sound formula released in 49. The basic design suffered minor facelifts until model year 53, when it underwent a severe rehash while the 55 project was under way. Both the 53 and 54 were rapidly obsolete compared to the 55 design, but they had their own charm -- and several styling clues that preceded the "Motoramic" Chevrolet. Credit goes to Ed Glowacke, Carl Renner and Clare McKichan. Interestingly enough, in 54 Chevy mimicked Ford's 53 "wide gape" grille to try make the car look wider. Production figures were high: half of GM cars in 53 came from Chevrolet.

I plan to do a 4-door in 210 trim, then maybe a 2door sedan Bel Air version.
Perhaps use some parts from my 53 Bel Air (done in 2004, an ancient mesh) to create a decent 4-door 53 210 just like the one we had in the family back in the early 60s.

Progress so far:

As usual color schemes will be shuffled. Thanks for watching.
