Msmooth problem

I was making that scar (or however it's called in english) on the hood, which is very sharp, and when I apply msmooth it becomes all weird (I guess because of sharp corners, if I understood well how it works). Tried some modifications but it's not getting any better. And I'll probably have more issues such as this when I get further with this model..
Since I know you guys have solutions to this, I'd be so greatfull if someone explains me how to deal with this.

i think the region pinches coz of multiple connects from the same point. if u can figure out a way to divert a few of them to some other point getting the same effect it'll be setteled.

good luck trying to get the exact shape you want in max while using any kind of smoothing ...i've been modeling for 2 years and i still aint figured out how to get the right shape or make it not turn black and nasty
