Boolean Question
hi boys. I've got a small question about boolean function. When I substract 2 objects the substraction area is not filled... i've got tube and cylinder, but when I substract them i've got only 2 circles, which are not connected. It's strange because in some cases it works. Is it depend of something?
PS excuse me if there are some mistakes, but that's not my mother language |

99% of booleans will need some type of fixxing.
the way i normal fix a problem like your is i create a copy of the objects i want to boolean, and on one copy do the subtract A from B, then with the other one subtract B from A, this normaly gives you that middle peice which is missing. and the other time you just have to fill them in manualy sorry but thats just how it goes, there something called power booleans, i ahve never used it but ppl say it works more often than normal booleans also this is asuming you are using 3dsmax, it might help some more if you tell us which program you use. ![]() If you can turn, your not going FAST enough |

Yes, i'm using 3ds max. But i've done this... i saw that the object is "opened" (one of the sides was empty... without polygons). Then i've got the border and caped it, then... substract and ready
after that i've deleted the polygon that was created and everything is OK. When i finish my work i'll put it here to see it. 10x for help ![]() |
