Using Materials On JPEGS

I am kinda new to this (Actually totally new) and I play a game called Live For Speed where you can create skins and I was wondering if you can put these on the jpeg skins and how? thanks

Uhm.. what exactly do you mean? You can make skins in any image editor, and then just save.. You don't have to make materials, they are incorporated in the LFS software.

Nonono, I mean... The materials you use in 3d studio max. I tried to drag them onto my skin (car paint) but it didnt work.
