Very slow max

Hy
Im new here and i thought that you can help me
Sorry for bad english though

Well , the problem is that if i open max , and make simple box , plane , teapot or whatever simple object , grab "Pan View" , move perspective or whatever view , its going to be damn slow and object is moving in viewport slow !!!

I have closed all things that are are eating my RAM like msn , internet windows etc.

No such problem before , before it was all fine and fast , even when several "Ram eaters" like msn and suhch things were open , even if i had a big scene

ohh and i use directX driver , if i change it to openGL or sofrware , its going fast again , so its all about DirectX , but i dont know what is wrong :?

Before it worked fine with directX

So , any help is appreciated

maybe if you reinstall your graph. drivers, then max will run fast again
personally i think, that opengl mode is the best

I have usually found it goes slow when I have zoomed in alot in the perspective view. Changing it to user usually fixes the problems.
But how ever I am using directX 9c

maybe you should post your PC specs as we could probably be of more help if we knew a little more.

it could of course be that you have very little ram, or it might be used ineffectively or you got viruses or something else.
