2 problems with blueprints

Hey guys!

So im having little(read:big) problems with modeling on 3d max 9
Im using it for the 2 day for now and i have given race speeder head aches same is with *redstar*

now to the problems:

1. My audi tt (group project)

i wantet to render my hood. so i made front side and top blueprints see trough. but if i wanted to get them back only the front appeared. the side and top were light gray blank planes...


2. My Citroen C2 im doing

Its just for training and i wanna get the blueprints correct. in here *redstar* came in he helped me with getting blueprints disappear as u all seen in his videos only one thing
they work against his video tutorial...

please help
