Kind of a bump.
This happend to my Max 7 a couple months back. I cleaned my registry and that didnt work. I made a clean install of Max and that didnt work. I ran a virus scanner on the Max folder, and somehow some of the files kept getting virus and when i cleaned them Max just started working again. I hope this helps.
