3ds Max modelling problem

Hello,

I started making an Audi A6 but then there was a problem I wanted to modell these "Headloght - Cleaners" and i tried a lot but I always got bumpy results.

Which lines must be chamfered to get a good and sharp result???

If i chamfer the 4 edges of the extruded part ( to get an rectangle and not an round hole) and the four edges of the rectangle (to get sharp doorlines) i get this result when i add meshsmooth.

Try something like this obviously not as wiggly as mine but add more rows so it can hold the smoothing better when applying your mesh/turbosmooth

I face this problem in every car i try to model , i think the problem is the 4 lines connecting the corners of the hole to the rest of the polygons ( i'm guessing you used the inset tool?) , anyway try what Catlin said , add more lines so that all the lines around this area are slightly vertical or slightly horizontal ,
If you post the file , maybe we can be more helpful (not the complete model , just this area )
