How to smooth some surfaces

Dear all, hello there!

I am modelling my 79 Opel Ascona at the moment and I have come across some difficulties/questions while modelling, having compared my work to some of the best works I've seen around here! And here is a question for you:

I am working with splines. I believe everyone is working that way too yeah?
Check out this image... I think I have written the whole question in it

Even if you use TURBOSMOOTH, the problem somehow remains... Do you see what I mean?

How can one create perfect lines for surfaces?

I am generally creating vertices and connecting them by "Create Line". Then I convert some of them to Bezier Corners and I adjust them so that I have smoother corners. The more vertices I add, the more segments my spline-cage has to be divided to... But the more segments you have, the more difficult it is to keep your model smooth, even when using turbosmooth!

I am looking forward in hearing your opinions

If you want to model with splines 3D max is not the software.

Most 3D max users if not all do poly modeling. Pretty much start by making a plane 1x1 segs and start extruding out.

I have a free video tutorial on my website about how to model some bits. That should help you but yeah, 3d max sucks with splines so if you want to continue using splines find another software, lightwave is a good one.
