3DS Max 9 Mental Ray Paint Material
Hey all. I was lookin at some tutorials made by one of the users on cg-gars, and he made really good metallic car paint using 3DSs new Paint Material, available when you are set to render using mental ray.
What I want to know is, can you use this material in 3DS 7? Import it into the plugins folder or something? because I have tried to make metallic paint in 3DS 7 using both the "noise" and "speckle" maps, and I don't know what size I need to make the particles so I can see the flecks of metallic in the paint.
If anyone knows if you can import the new version 9 paint shader/material into version 7, please help. but if you know how to make really good metallica paint in 7 using standard shaders, can you please help too?
