If you're having issues with single-sided geometry like a plane being visible from both sides, it could come from several things:

1.) Your viewports are set to force 2-sided
  • Right-click the viewport's label (Perspective, Front, etc.)
    • Uncheck "Force 2-Sided"
2.) Your Materials are set to 2-Sided
  • Bring up the Material Editor, and select the materials you've got for your blueprints
    • Ensure that no materials have "2-Sided" checked off
3.) Your objects are set to not use Backface Culling
  • Go to the Properties of your object(s)
    • Check off Backface Cull
4.) If your objects are being created with Backface Culling turned off, and you'd like to change that...
  • Go to Customize -> Preferences -> Viewports
    • Check off Backface Cull on Object Creation
hope that solves your issue

Hi,
I have same problem like user Ben-146. My Plane is "noninvisible" on back side. I check hints from user multimediaman but I see still back side with color and "noninvisible".
Use driver D3D Geforce 6800LE, Max9 and driver for graphic card is 93.71.

Thanks for your opinions and sorry for my english

edit: I resolve my problem..hint "Check off Backface Cull".

thanks

In your preferences for viewport configuration, if you're using the D3D driver, you probably have the option of "Use cached D3D meshes" checked off.

This option speeds up viewport display incredibly... but the meshes don't support backfacing. So if you want to view 2-sided materials properly, you'll have to disable this option.

I only turn it off for unusual cases like when I build trees or other objects that heavily utilize opacity maps so I can ensure the stuff lines up properly, as the display really is too slow to be useful otherwise (it slows down after getting about 1500 faces... at 30,000, it's a slideshow)
