what going next?

hi... I'm new here... i need some help and tip or advise... I've done modeling low poly... but i don't know where or even how to start on the detail... can any one help me?... and also can you give me some tricks on rendering?...

when you say you want to start on the detail, do you mean the textures? or maybe cutting in some grilles or other parts of the car? an interior? smoothing your car so it's not faceted?

ahm... about all you've said where should i start cutting so i can get nice grills, doors, hoods, lights, windows, windshields, and also bumpers and everything else including the engine and the interior... i've all ready know smoothing... what will i do to make a nice textures and a nice scene... lighting and also camera view...

if there's that many areas you want advice with, my best advice is just to look at other people's work to see how they did that kind of stuff, then compare their methods, and pick a method, or mixture of methods you like the best.


For example, go into some threads where people post wireframes of their vehicles, and analyze what makes those meshes work. Don't hesitate to ask to see specific wireframe shots either.

If you post a WIP and need help, usually there's lots of folks around who are ready and able to help with certain areas... sometimes you can even get people to paint over your mesh with their suggestions
