Weird Gizmo issue...
I can not figure out what is causing this...but i would greatly appreciate it if someone knew the answer...

I'm guessing that is because you have it in the Local Movement mode, so each vertex is going to go in their own direction. Try switching to View, World, or maybe Parent and see if that fixes it.

Click on the red circle, and select a different movement mode.
