selecting faces in viewport while uvwunwrap

Im pretty pissed off. I wanted to unwrap my cars body in 3ds max9. In 3ds max7, I just used the select face option in the Unwrap UVW modifier and selected the faces of the top for example. I pressed planar map and I got a nice topview in my unwrap uvw editing window. But where the hell is that damn select face option in the 3ds max9 unwrap uvw modifier?? How can I select faces in the viewport while unwrapping?:x

looooooool, just opened the scene to make a screen and now there are the selecting options Oo. Wtf is going on with my max Well, it seems to work now. >.>

Now I wanted to select face and its gone again Oo It just disappears when I want to click at the selection modes in the unwrap uvw modifier.

Edit: Made it another object now, seems to work.

When you add uwv modifier are you in polymode? if yes then it does that, atleast on Max 8.

No idea, Im glad it worked now. Ill post my template later, so everyone can make some paintjobs if they want
