If you wanted to be expert I would say solid molding in solid works, Pro-E, Inventor, and maybe even Autocad. I say this because i found it very easy to draw mechanical components in these programs compared to 3ds max because thats what they where designed for. Don't get me wrong its been done a lot in 3ds, but its easier i think to do in the engineering programs.
If you have to do it in 3ds, I recommend what ever method you feel most conformable with. Good luck! ![]() Helicase: An enzyme that UNWINDS double-strand DNA into two single DNA strands. |

No you can get Inventor free on there too ! haha, in fact they have alias studio on there. yay for that. ACAD is way easier then inventor, so maybe just stick w/ that. And they are all the latest versions too. And that is nice.

Sure i export stuff from those types of programs all the time, and render it in vray. I have gotten really good results.
The following attachment was my final project for my Freshman Mechanical Engineering class, i drew it an Autocad, and rendered it in vray. Kind of a simple project but it looks good. ![]() Helicase: An enzyme that UNWINDS double-strand DNA into two single DNA strands. Last edited by helicase : 2 Weeks Ago at 10:20 AM. |
