Wondering Blurried blueprints

Hello people,

First of all, I've searched the forums for this problems and I'm still getting the blueprints in 3ds Max 2009 blurred.

I made a plane (1 and 1 for the segments) and then in the DIFFUSE spot I added the .gif (not jpeg) blueprint.I set the dimensions of the plane to match the width and height of the image.

I've changed all the settings in CUSTOMIZE - VIEW PORTS and still nothing.
I've attached the screenshots.

Now the worse part: In maya the blueprints are looking great (see the screenshot).
I've just finished learning the essentials of Max (I wanted to move from Maya to Max) and
now I'm a little sad about this.

Could be the problem my graphics card ? (in Maya looks ok).

If I can't get the blueprints to look right, I'll model the Ford Mustang in Maya (the tutorial is for Max - from Evermotion, but now I can make the connection between the tools in Maya and Max. Example: REVOLVE (in Maya) is the same like LATHE in Max, Extrude along patch (in Maya) is like Loft in Max and so on. . I've posted some days ago a post to ask if to use Max or Maya, but now I'll use Max for modeling and visualization - especially architecture, and Maya for rigging and animation).

Waiting for the **MAGICAL**.
Thanks in advance.

Settings look fine to me.What you have to do is Make sure Your Blueprint size is using equal numbers.

Example is to have front and back as 512 x 512 and side and top is 1024 x 1024.
Or you could download the directX shader for blueprints and use that.

It's really necessarily to make the blueprints with equal numbers ?
Where I can find the directx shader for the blueprints ?

not equal numbers, but squares of two.

so 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, and 4096 are acceptable dimensions.

you can have an image that's 256x1024 for example, and it'd show up properly.

I've used the method and downloaded the material.
For the first plane, it worked.

After I made the second material for the front plane, everything turned to white.
I changed the settings from Customize / View ports but still nothing.

I don't know why it worked for the first plane.
Now it's not working at all.

Maybe my version is 2009 ?

Thumbs up Solved

I solved the problem.
It's a bug when you're working in Max 2009 version.

After I place all the planes and assign them the DX Material, they look totally white.
I need to make a 5th planes (doesn't matter the size or the position) and assign to it a simple bitmap material so that the others 4 planes can show the blueprints.

Thanks a lot.
Maybe when I'll change my graphics card I won't need the shader.
