i think he's just expressing his opinion voluntarily, not necessarily replying to anything.
GhiaMan, your observations and opinion were kinda addressed a while ago. I beleive the guys who run the site were wanting to change what SMC actually meant, to something more general than just cars. Not sure why it never happened, actually.
