Not sure if it helps you this my shot :twisted:
If you do have photoshop 7/8 .... you can just save as the file in jpg.
but before you do that you need some plug in so you can open the dds in photoshop

but with 3dmax ... i got no single idea to do that .... you can't even render the sence with dds textures :roll:
