Hi willi_44, I'm a Blender user so I can explain how I do my own headlights : for a basic setting, you can do the following :
- Model according to any "headlight tutorial" you can find on SMCars. Anyone is fine, even not for Blender ! - Important thing : think to give a realistic thickness to your glass parts (do it by making first a plane part, then extruding it) - For your material setting, you can use the default "clear glass" preset in Blender. Have fun and post here your homeworks ! ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |

Looks clean so far. Hard to tell if your headlights will look right with screenshots
Keep going !PS : You should open a thread in WorkInProgress forum to show your progress. And feel free to edit your posts to add a picture if you remember to add it shortly after your first post. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |
