BlenderArt #8 : special car modeling

Hi,

The free webzine, Blender-dedicated, released today their 8th issue, about car modeling. Maybe of interest to anyone here, especially for Blender new users or people wanting to discover Blender or people looking for a sodtware which doesn't need a cracked or very expensive license

From their website, www.blender-art.org :

We have packed 71 pages full of car modeling tutorials, covering tips and techniques from the body to the rims. We take a behind the scenes look at “Cutting the Waves’ and Claas Kuhnen gives us an in-depth description on creating brushed metal shaders. And just for fun, there is even a Low Poly car to model and drive around.
Good reading to anyone.

PS : I'm posting about it here not only because I've got a few pages inside BUT because it's definitely worth reading !

I don't know why their site is down.

Sorry for answering lately, but be sure I can get some interesting links to anyone wanting to discover Blender for car modeling.

What had you achieved with Blender ?

hi there this is a great tutorial and website one me and my art teacher have looked at ever since we started learning blender also the reason the link does not work is because the website url is actually BlenderArt Magazine: The unofficial Blender 3D magazine and not http://www.blender-art.org

all the best
chris

The only exporter to rFactor I heard of is 3DS Max-based. So you have to have access to 3DS Max and export your model from Blender to Max, and then, export it to rFactor.

Edit : same question elsewhere, so please jump there to see the rest of discussion : http://www.smcars.net/forums/blender...r-blender.html
