Blueprints, another one:

So i'm having issues

I just installed Blender and i've gone thru and totally frustrated myself to absolutely no end. I'm debating on how to set up a blueprint, i have my blueprint and i've tried the tutorials from the blender website, but i'm getting no where.

I tried to follow the link the one of the user's here site, but i guess his site is down b/c i cannot load any of the pages :?

Should i try the "Blueprint Cage" method, or use it as a background and see what happens?

Right now i'm a total newb and i'm close to just shutting down the program, un-install it and try something else... but i'm not a quitter and i'm just sucking it up and trying to make sense of the program.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

**edit: i don't even know where to start, so detailed stuff would be great... or even just some pointers to get me on my way would be awesome!

Well, What I would recomend is sizing your blueprint up, so that each view is the right dimensions, then I would divide the screen into 4 sections(You can do this by dragging your mouse over to the left side of the screen, then left click and select "Split Area", and then line the horizontal bar in the half of the screen. Then Put the mouse on the bottom of one of the split screens, and repeat the process but do it vertically.)

Then when the screen is split up, set the view in each screen to match the blueprint, then set the blueprint as the background in the correct screen(so left view, left blueprint).

Also it's great to see someone trying to use blender for making cars, It takes a while to learn, but then the interface is very efficient.

if i ever figure out how to use blender i'm sure it'll pay off.

About the German tutorial, I wrote one using the very same technique. It's available in english here :
Pixels or Atoms ?

Maybe it can get you back to Blender
