When Carroll Shelby was involved with Chrysler in the early 1980s, this car was suggested as a reprise for his AC-Ford Cobra. He built a prototype with puffed guards and a transplanted turbo 2.2 four and transaxle from the FWD Dodge Chargers of the time.
If it wasn't for the last minute, nothing would be done.
