mpfive: well with my rims it wasn't that complicated as it was with others I've painted. I bought some Aircraft Remover to remove all the previous paint. That stuff is extremely strong so try not to get any on the tires, or if you do don't let it sit too long on the tires. Let it sit for a bit though and after a while you can basically just wipe the old paint off. Then I rinsed them off with water. Next I got some sand paper and sanded them down. Make sure it's not like a real small grit or else you'll scratch them up real bad and it'll show through the paint. Rinsed them off again with water. Next I took the leaf blower thing and dried them off so I wouldn't have to air dry them and wait a long time. Then I took the blue tape, I forget what it's called but it doesn't leave anything behind when you take it off. You can find it at a Home Depot or something. Then I cut the tape into like an inch pieces, and carefully taped off the lip that I wanted (which this I find to be the hardest part about paint rims. If you don't want a lip then it's not so hard, other than the fact it takes a lot of cleaning and waiting in between coats). Then I sprayed on some primer and waited however long I needed between the coats. Put 2 coats on of primer, 2 of the paint, and 1 of clearcoat. And then I let them dry over night and put them on carefully the next day so I wouldn't chip it or anything since it was still pretty fresh (if you have time where you can let the rims sit and dry for like a day or 2 then that'd be better). Sorry for the extremely long post but if you want more detail like pictures of how I did it and clearer step by step process along with the products I used then just shoot me a pm and I'll send you all the info.

Silent][Moebius: They're still gold. I put up the blue and black showing how they used to be. I repainted them after that to gold, and now currently they're gold.

The crash itself was pretty bad, but no, nobody got hurt thanks for asking. My dad and I decided to sell the car and we`re now looking for a Citroen C5 to buy .

My current car is a not-restyled Renault Laguna II Estate, it was a WIP from me here.
My former car was a not-restyled Citroen Xsara VTS, it was a WIP from me here.
My business car is a corporate Renault Clio III.
My car for long trips is a restyled Renault Velsatis, it was a WIP from me here.

Guess which car I can try to model next ?

Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster
Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4)
