well if it's all so high end it probably costs too much. it's the companies descision if they want to keep the prices for their cars reasonable.

And the bugatti veyron is 4wd, or awd, one of the two, and I don't hear too many people saying that thing doesn't perform well.
well of course it performs well, it's like a playstation on 4 wheels, point and shoot, there are so many electronic aids in that car that virtually make it impossible to fail with this car. on the other hand true motorsport enthusiast don't like the car too much, because it is just too full of electronics and it's way too heavy

the better the acceleration would be, no?
yes and no. on the one hand a awd drive model has a considerably higher weight than the one with only RWD. so the car , with the same power, the awd would probably loose even if it can put down more power. also pure RWD cars are way more fun to drive than awd. (see the audi typical understeer for their awd cars, which are still very good of course)

of course this topic could be debated endlessly, and in the end it's just a matter of personal preference.

For those who never drove a hydro Citroen, here are some tips.
1.Go to a Citroen dealer.
2.Let the salesman think that you want to buy a C6.
3.Ask for a test drive(it's free)
4.While driving with the salesman, ask him more about the suspension and tell him that he show you how it work, let him think that you aren't sure about it,he will show it to you)
5.After the test drive tell him that you aren't sure that you want to buy it,he will try to sell you the car but just say that you aren't sure about it and that you will think it over.
6.leave the dealership.
Now you know how good a real Citroen is.

that's why AWD vehicles should have a switch to engage or disengage the AWD

... and yeah, I would think that any time there's electronic assisting in a vehicle, that the vehicle should offer an option to turn them on/off as well.

too bad there aren't any citroen dealers that I know of anywhere in the US -- and even if I were to find one in some obscure location... driving there for service would be a major pain. lol

I`m pretty sure they don`t sell citroens in the US, ever since the SM in the 1970s...

Nope you won't find any dealers in the US.
I was thinking of exporting the C6 to the US but i haven't enough money to start it.
Maybe you should do a vacation to Europe.
But for a Citroen,no,safe your money for the Bahama's.

Only the C6 is interesting for the American market.
The C5 or older versions would be to expensive.
The C6 too but you can sell it there because it is so special.
Just out of his class.

I like awd but I am losing ~60 hp from the flywheel through the drive train because of everything it has to go through to put the power to the wheels. Regardless if an awd car was put up against a rwd with the same WHP and approx. the same weight the awd car will win due to the ability to get a faster 60' time because of less wheel spin.
