well you can follow max and maya tutorials with C4D but i couldnt tell you wich one is better, its that person behind the computer doing the modeling. C4d is easy to use for the begginer. i myself, am debating wether to buy Max or C4D. JTB |

Personally I like Max more that any of the softwares I have used...could you explain what exactly does friendly interface mean to us? If it's NURBS, I agree Max is not up to the mark, but what about polygon modeling?

As for me, using Cinema 4D I can do usual thing more pleasure. Such as: object manipulation, object selecting, manipulation of modificators and deformers, accessing to necessary commands, interface flexibility and tuning and other. About program potential: Cinema4D does not give in possibility of creating and manipulating of objects. IMHO. |

Hi all,
It will all come down to what you prefer. Over the past 5 or 6 years, Cinema4D has grown tremendously and is now regarded as '" one of the BIG guns " in 3D. I started using it about 4 years ago and I must say that it is the best 3D- app I have ever used . As a freelance Illustrator working for various clients ( with various projects ), I have created anything from people to aircraft - without the need to open up another modelling app... Cinema 4D is able to create anything you like, but of course: it will all come down to the one in front of the computer Peter |
