"Light is right" contest : final entries and final vote
Hello everyone,
The contest is eventually over. Only two competitors submitted their entry. Here they are. JaZu : Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA ![]() tom120934 : Ariel Atom II ![]() So, I opened the vote. As said before, it will last until December the 15th. As there's no planned reward so far, I had to come up with one. It will be a donation of 500 points to the winner. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net Last edited by tom120934 : 12-01-2007 at 01:12 AM. |

too bad only 2 finished... but that doesn't mean it's easier to descide for whom i should cast my vote.
tom i have been closely following your project so i am more familiar with it. too bad you couldn't finish it in time. the render looks great, maybe a tiny bit too bleached, the wire renders have a better atmosphere imo. JaZu's Alfa is stunning. the car looks very complete and finished. the blue paint fits it very well, maybe red would have looked nicer. in your first render your front wheelarch isn't smoothed ![]() ah the descision... it's very difficult. i have to give my vote to jazu, because in the end the materials are better overall imo. both did a great job, and that doesn't mean that either one has lesser skills. detail wise tom wins but the render is what counts in the end, so i give my vote to jazu. ![]() I'm a Prefectionist |

You've resume pretty well what I think of both projects.
I gave my vote to JaZu not by fairplay, but because I think its render looks excellent and for one more important reason : he did a better choice than mine for his entry, because he took something he manage to finish within the contest time frame. I just wasn't able to do that. That's the main reason why I say congratulations to you, JaZu : for me you're the true winner of the contest. Whatever the vote. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |

it's really hard to vote here. As it are 2 very interesting entry's.
Though it's a pitty tom used the atmosphere ony in the wire renders. If you used them in your other renders as well it would be nicer imo. The others are a bit to bright. As for the alfa, It looks good but the smoothing can have some touches on some area's. But renders are nice.. But my vote goes to tom, as he has put many details in his car. His car looks very well made and set up. Especially for without bp's. And looking at the wire the alfa laks some details and smoothness in the wire. Looking at those details my vote goes to tom. |

Both cars have lots of details, but at the same time, they are lacking some.
it's really hard to choose, and I think both are winners. It's a close call, 16 to 18, with only a few days left! My vote goes to.... JaZu! Why? I don't know, I just like it more. But as I said, in my opinion, both of you are winners ![]() |
