Beater Tuning (Formerly Fiat 500)

I had an idea to have a Fiat 500 tuning contest, thinking many people have done the notourious tutorial and already have the base model on hand.

Am I right when I say that many people have this model on hand, or is it just coincidence that many people I have talked to have done the Fiat tutorial in the past? :?

Re: Fiat 500

I read it through but didn't do it... just used the same techniques on another car, seemed like a better way to learn things instead of just following other peoples work... Nice idea tho

Re: Fiat 500

Good idea indeed, it would be interesting if several people took the same model (not necessary Fiat 500) and modify it in their own way.

I can get you this model if needed:

Or any other mesh from that site (www.3dworldclub.com) if people will support the idea (i can get only one model though, they're paid and i only have one slot for getting model at the moment).

Re: Fiat 500

So you provide the base mesh and people just make the tuning parts? If that's the case I could think about it...

Re: Fiat 500

Sounds great, but my mesh is no good. How bout any Fiat tuning? I specified the 500 because I was under the impression that everyone had it (plus the clown-car had some potential). If we have no base mesh, we should do a contest of another kind.

Thanks for the support tho

Yep, like that... I think there was no such contest at SMC yet (people usually model the entire car from scratch, not use the same mesh as a base).

Indeed this mesh isn't that good...i'll check for other Fiats.

EDIT: looks like the Fiat idea is gone, others are poor or just too special:

Maybe any other brand tho?

Re: Fiat 500

ford pinto ?
my idea was to take a basic bodied car (common, nothing nice), distribute the mesh, then tune the car from crappy to crazy. anyone have a car in that sort of "genre"?
