OK, as everyone agrees, the deadline for the contest is now November 31th. I update the rules in first post.

Anyone else wants to join in ?

Excellent ! I think it would be pretty difficult to model it, not so much references must be available.

See Top Gear | TGTV preview: small wonder for more information about the car.

1207kg to be precise... and no Mini will get under the weight limit, even the John Cooper Works (the race version) has a dryweight of 1150kg

There're many good ideas in this topic : retired entries, less known cars. You should read the whole topic.

You can also use (for example) GranTurismo 4 for searching among your cars, sorting by weight.

My entry

So, here it is.
I´m being out of the discussion and was very confused whether today is the day to present the images.

Anyway, my model has been more or less finished for about a month now - so I might just aswell show it now.

Front image, and rear image - complete with wires.

Yes, as it's the last date everyone still in agreed on.

About my own WIP, I need some serious worksessions to complete model in time. And I think I'm not the only one facing such troubles. But I'm almost sure that yet another delay will kill the contest.

Anyone, what do you think about it ?

You're not alone tom , i'm in a deeper trouble , cause i found out last week that my Mid-terms were one week earlier than the usual date( that means i'm now having my mid-terms ,2nd exam -->tomorrow ... WISH ME LUCK ) , any way that would leave me about 1.5 -2 weeks maximum till the deadline , i think it won't be easy to finish in time though i'll try , and i think you are right , leave the deadline as it is to heat things up a little

Ok, here we are, final run for the contest. Only 10 days left, so keep working !

Please post your final submission here. Don't forget to remind the name of your model. On December 1st, I'll open-up a new topic with every proposal. Don't be late...

The contest winner will be choosen by a vote open to anyone (of course, because if it was a close vote, then anyone will vote for himself) The vote will end on December 15th. If there're some ex-aequo, the actual unique winner will be the one who had post its final pictures the sooner.

I remind you that 4 pics and only 4 pics must be uploaded (front render, rear render, front wire, rear wire) and that progress must have been shown in WIP section.

Last day !

I just realised I forget to mention which timezone will be used to precisely choose midnight.

Let's use GMT, of course. It's about 7h10 o'clock right now, so everyone has less than 17 hours left to post !

Here're the final pictures for the contest : front render, rear render, front wire, rear wire.

Modeled only with Blender, rendered only with YafRay. Wires are produced in Blender internal renderer with help of the script by François "Babynou" Gueguen, see : Video Tutorial/Script: Rendering Wireframe Overlays at BlenderNation
