Austin Seven Chummy

Image name: Austin 7 Chummy

Maya nurbs patch modeling.
Made it for 4 weeks.
Modeled in Alias MAYA 6.5, rendered with maya software render.

This particular car is officially known as an 'Austin Seven Type AD tourer', but always referred to as a 'Chummy'. This one left the Austin factory at Longbridge, near Birmingham, in October 1927.

Image is created as a work for Alias Training Centre "CHIRON" in central Europe.
Any comment would be very helpfull, so please feel free to post comments.

great model your not seeing many of these around here so it's always a pleasure to have one here.

your tire mat oculd use some tuning, e.g. less grain.
also your camera setting is not very good imo, atm you have a fisheye effect and it doesn't compliment the car too well

Nice little car! Looks like you're missing some spokes, though.

Try to improve the render a bit, for example try S][M's comment. Also, try using GI or something, would really do a great thing to it.

Nice though!

I like it a lot.
Only crit goes to the "marblish" look of the tire texture.
Great attention to detail.

Beautiful work on this old girl. Really looks very realistic in places. I see what Palat is talking about with the marble look but my first reaction was that these tires look very real.. thanks for ruining it Palat ;P j/k

in the first render the tires look great, though somehwo in the 2. one it seems like you used a different material overall?
