The lighting is amazing, could you tell us how you make it look real?

Excellent Render Oscar good job!, the light seems so bright, its hard to pull that off but you did it! nice job with the bright and dull reflections to, makes the car look that much more real. The ground material is cool to, I like the twilight scene.

thx for replies guys. makes me really proud that U like it

@hmg2007 - yeah, it's no secret it's done in mental ray, the lights have a self-ilumination material on the bulbs, the sky light is from Daylight system and i used photographic exposure control. that's basicly it

@helicase - i'm working on some simple enviroment so stay tuned

@mpfive - well, the glowing lights are a bit tricky, i found about them when i watched a video about 4 new fetures in 3ds max. it's sort of postproduction made by max after rendering to make overburned pixels glare. There is another, better method there but it doesn't work with mental ray...at least thats what F1 says

here's another pic, hope u like it....i might overbrightened the lights in this one...just a bit

I know, i know...who's driveing it...? BUt what the heck, i like it so much that i will post it anyways Besides max crashed 38 times before it rendered it so it's worth i guess...not saying that the render took over an hour...and these were the lowest settings avaible

C&C most welcome

EDIT: I'm getting better and better at this....now max crashed only 9 times and here's what i came up with

I think the renders are too dull and not enough vigrant colors. The last render is much better than first because the color is much brighter and more eye catching.

Also, do you want comments on the accuracy of your model or no?

I think the paint is too bright, and you need to get deeper shading underneath the car. Otherwise, I think it looks cool
