well it needs a fair bit of work, first thing is to move your inside edges so that there wont be a seam down the middle of the model, you need to create some chamfers and edge loops to get some harder edges and probably work on your polys im guessing theres too many and they arent flowing so youre getting bumps and dents everywhere, try to have as few polys as you can in your base mesh and make them quads as much as possible and it will look much better when its smoothed
