Trouble with blueprints?help

hey all can anyone give me any tips on setting up blueprints in 3ds max 6.

I have gotten to the point of getting them all setup and creating a plane but when i try to drag it over into my viewport from my material editor.

I'm following this tut

If you can't get it to the plane by dragging and dropping it onto the plane. You can select the plane and in the material editor click on the assign material to slection button. Third button from left under the material previews. Works for me everytime. Just make sure you have the right plane selected for the right material.
