how can i make my background objects blury

hi i want to make my bg object more blury than the objects in the front. At least it should look like this:

I use 3dsmax5 and brazil r/s

I don't know if you can render it like that, but it's quite easy to do after rendering in photoshop..

Look up "Depth of field" (shortened DOF). If you use Brazil you can get "real" DOF so just check out what the different DOF settings do in the manual.

can anybody quickley say me some settings because i tried some settings and if i set some things to high the pc shut down

the only thing you need to change from a DEFAULT setting - once you changed it it probably stays changed even on adding a new cam (dunno if i'm making sense here, lol) is the focal range / length or whatever it is called. same as with a real cam. you decide where the focus is. everything beyond or closer than that is blurry. more so the farther away (in either direction) you are from the object. hey, that's basic knowledge, you wouldn't even need a 3d tool for. anyway. the brazil tuts and docs that came with it should give you an idea of that.
