no more pivot in my screen

i have 3ds max and i cant see my pivot anymore, i don't know how but all i can see is the Y, X and Z and not those arrows. this is very irritating so please help me tell me what to do :roll:

no it isn't it just turns from yellow to gray.

i also must say i've hit the f5 f6 f7 f8 buttons, but now it doesn't return enymore

try reinstalling

This may be too obviously simple, but if its not the 'X' problem, then my guess would be that you're just in selection mode (Q), and not move mode (W). Simply press W to enter move mode, or click the move icon.

ugh, 3dsmax has some funky display issues.

anyway, first things first, rotate your view around, does the gizmo show up again? if it shows up, but then dissappears as soon as you start moving your mouse around, and a 3d snap indicator shows up onscreen, then you probably need to just turn your 3d snap on/off only when you need it...

if it still doesn't show up, make sure the objects you are working on are reasonably close to the origin (x = 0, y = 0, and z = 0) ... same with the pivot point of the object.

if that still doesn't show up, I would probably go in and, if able to, under preferences>Viewports, configure the driver to redraw on Window Expose, which might help a bit... I don't really know, but if all else fails, you might want to switch the display driver (in 3dsmax) around or something...

maybe update your video card drivers might help, but that's probably doubtful

press the + / - button . you might have hide the
arrows .
