Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum but Im sure this will be one of the communities I will visit regularly because you all seem very friendly and helpful. I am new to Maya and has not much experience with any other 3D program. The one I use at school is very cheap though it was easy to use. Maya is a more complex program with more options and it is harder for me to navigate and do the smaller things. My biggest problem at the moment is working with curves and NURBS as they are hard to place and edit. Anyhow, I am about to tackle a very big project and will need lots of help along the way. My friend, who is a junior formula BMW driver, wants me to remake his website and I thought it would really make his site stand out if I made a 3D intro and with the 3D model I could also get higher quality pictures and maybe even create some cool animations. Right now I am hoping someone could find a blueprint for his car, formula BMW FB2, or maybe help me make one from pictures:

If anyone can help me find a tutorial for formula cars it would be the biggest help. Then, of course, I would need to find a way to acquire those blueprints. If anyone is good at Maya and would have some time to help me, please leave me your MSN.
At the moment I have bought a "Learning Maya 6 - Foundation" book to help me with the basics. I'm hoping to progress very quickly and be able to have the skills to make the formula car after this summer. (I have about 8-16 hours a day and 5 days a week to work and learn for 2 months).
