3DSM Tutorial for the Beginner?

I got myself a copy of 3DSM 7 a few months ago and didn't have time to use it since I was still bogged down with class work from college. Now that I have some free time, does anyone know a 'bottom up' tutorial for a making a car that shows all the buttons and dialog options you must select in order complete the task? I've done some vertex modelling before this in another program, where you place the vertices and connect them to make a face and thus the model, but 3DSM has so many options that it's hard to know where to begin. Also, if there are no car tutorials doing this, are there any other ones that utilize blueprints and models with such detail that I can jump right in and get to work? Most car tutorials I see show the model and placing of parts, but don't show the options are located at in the UI for creating what is going on.

Thanks.
