Hello all

I did always model with ZModeler so quality isn't so good

Well, my first scratch made : Callaway C12

And my last creation, probably my best :

I like your EVO, I have Zmodeler but never really got to use it to make stuff. I find that if you use a tool you can get very good with it as shown by others on this site using Zmodeler others use 3DSMAX but it is all about knowing how to use what you got and producing cars you like. keep going...guys here will help you to reach your best.

You can get quite amazing stuff in ZMod aswell, just needs more patience than with Max for example. Your first car doesn't look that bad at all. Btw is that EVO from NFSC?

Cool Noob Cars

Well, I've been on this boad for a long time and haven't posted. So here are my firsts:
Dodge Viper and an Acura RSX done in 2004.

Last two cars are more recent: 1930's Stutz and and Audi done this year.

some of you have MUCH better work than my first few samples of work...

But then again, that's partially Grand Theft Auto 3's fault. I was so heavily inspired by that game's artwork that I made mine so similarly, that they became just as dated before I ever created them. I wish I'd done that with gran turismo 3 vehicles, but noooooo

But since so many others have shared their n00b cars, I should as well.

Let's start off with one of the first cars I made, my brother's 1998 Chevrolet Camaro

it was modeled quite a bit over-poly in some areas (doors) and under-poly in others (spoiler) ... but at that point I said, wow, that was a hard project, I'd better look for references. That's when I turned to GTA3's style, since it seemed to give what I thought was very nice results at the time...

Here's some stuff I did based off that style, only applied to hot wheels or matchbox cars:

Very basic lol... This was when I was using Renderosity for my stuff.. I've got other stuff posted in there too, if you want to check out my Renderosity Gallery images.

But then I started getting some serious stuff going on at Art Institute of Dallas, and my first demo reel was created. Here's some images which were created for the Arlington, TX re-creation portion of the reel:

Also got some screen-grabs from the video ... although they're pretty poor quality:

... Sooo .... yeah, those were some of my noob cars.

There's also some filler cars that I used in a steakhouse render, but I'd wanted to fill the parking lots up with them in the Arlington scene, but never got that much of the city modeled out... Here's some shots showing the filler cars:

So yeah, that's a fairly decent summary of my old-school junk

Now, off to model cars, but never again like that >_<

Ahaha, this thread is wonderful, there are some good cars in here.

Heres my first one, 2005 Chevy Impala made in Zmodeler1 for gta sa. Made it in march or april 2006

Thats the second car from me, 2003 Cadillac CTS made in 3dsmax7. Made it in september 2006 after I have found redstars vid-tuts of the supra

And that are my current projects, my Ford Crown Vic and the third version of my Impala.

There are some newer versions of the actual cars, but it isnt the sense of the threat to show what you have done some hours ago. I think I have improved my skills in that quite short time not bad, yeah enjoy that crappy noob cars

My first car was made in Autocad 2004, when i was 16. I knew nothing about cars did not have blueprints and was new to drawing in 3d.

I hope you don't laugh to hard.
