Great Thread!

This was my 1st car model after doing an old A3 tutorial. This was done after maybe 2 or 3 months of playing around with 3D. Done sometime in 2006.

First real try at completing a car

This thread is great!
All these bloody starts in modeling. But compared to mine a huge step further.

I did this thing for NFS:HS in 2001.I had no idea how to use ZMod right.I tried around and found the Create>Surfaces>Flat function and thought:ahh, thats the way.But after this car I knew it wasn't the right way.A few Tutorials I found a more efficent way.

Here it is the number 1

I still keep it on serveral CDs or USBs to save it forever. Its crap³ but it means alot to me.

Ok I have dug out my first ever attempts at car modeling, these are bad especially the Impreza this was before I knew how to use NURBS (in Lightwave) properly so I didn't bother at all the MR2 speaks for itself really.

Current WIP Ferrari 456 GT (On Hold)

Here are a few of my early ones...

The first is a tank I made on the very day after my first 3D class at uni... Worked from 9am to 9pm on it without a break and a drink next to me. I remember being so engrossed in what I was doing that I didn't even notice a whole class come into the room, have their lesson, then leave It is so badly made... I didn't know how to even attach things, so every little piece on it is it's own object, right down to the bolts

The second is the third ever model I'd ever done, and as with the tank, I just worked on it endlessly without a care in the world.

The third was a car I made for my final project roughly 1 year after starting my course at uni. Even though technical-wise it's absolute crap, I still love it to bits. One day it'll be remade... one day
