Serious help needed in modelling
Hi guys. I am really getting sick of this problem that i have. And now i decided i want to sort it out.
My problem is, when ever i try modelling a vehicle the first steps i take and it looks like crap and then i end up quitting it. It's the same with ever vehicle i've attempted. I just don't seem to have the techniques and every tutorial i have found there is stuff i'm not sure on which makes me not able to finish the tutorial. Believe it or not i've been on and off modelling for over 4 years. I haven't really modelled much though because when i do my models end up like crap. I've had Cinema 4d since 1996 and still 9 years later i am only a bit better. I dream about modelling lovely vehicles like i see all you talented guys do. But every time i attempt it it's a failure. I currently have Cinema 4d R9 installed. (I have 3dsmax on a dvd i can install it if it's needed). Does anyone know the perfect beginners tutorial? (I have basic knowledge of C4D and 3dsmax). What i basically want to know is the following. 1) What is the easiest and best car for a beginner to model first? 2) Can you provide me with the blueprints? 3) What is the best method for modelling medium poly cars. (For use in games like San Andreas etc.) 4) What tips and tricks can you give me? Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me. I have been getting really sad because of my problem. Thanks in advance guys!! |

Quote:
, i'll have to agree with u there doch@hellbound, it pretty much takes patience.. i mean when u model and u c the results, if u dont like wut u c, u gotta ask urself... "how can i improve on that?" "did i miss something?" "do i have to add another poly here".. stuff like taht.. and if u still dont get come here (to smc) post ur project, we'll be glad to help u, i mean if u look at my project for example.. u'll c how much it changed compared to my first post, u'll c other members commenting and show u mistakes and error or just suggestions on how u could improve, i even asked a couple of times for help and i got my answer which helped.. so wut i would suggest is start a new project with a tutorial maybe (u can find a bunch of them in the tutorial section) and post ur work in the WIP.. show pictures and renders of ur progress and we'll help u out.. if we c a mistake or and error, we'll tell. if we think u can do something to improve, we'll tell...so pick ur car (not too complicated) and post... good luck *sits and waits for a new topic in WIP* |
