new to forum and 3d modeling

dont flame me please lol
im new to this forum and interested in 3d modelling... just need a few tips, whats a good program i can use, which is the best and most user friendly, and any tutorial sites?

thanx guys.. atm im using zmodeler lmao

well i think that the best is 3ds max (5,6,7) cause you can find HUGE numbers of tutorials for it
well, there are many users friendly
i think that good site for tutorials is www.3dtotal.com, and other just time ,,tutorials 3ds max,, to google

I find LW the easiest yet best programme, but it's really up to the person :roll:
You don't need tons of tutorials btw, with a couple of modeling tutorials you can come quite far (I only did half a tut for LW)
Also, if you're not willing to pay, there are lots of free modeling programmes available too

If your budget is $0, then I'd recommend these...

Wings3D. www.wings3d.com <-- My personal fav. Dedicated modeling via extrusion mentod.

Anim8or. www.anim8or.com <-- Not too bad either. Does rendering and animation.

Blender. www.blender3d.org <-- No luck with this one personally (it's finicky about what graphics card is used.) But I've seen some spectacular rendering/animation results.

And zmod if your into making game cars. www.zmodeler2.com <-- A lot of people here seem to like it.
