now that ive jumped back onto the 3d side of graphics again i thought id ask a question about something thats always been a problem

are there any tutorials on making tyres, i dont mean the usual way, i heard something about displacment maps or something and i was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a tut using that method....ty

Check LionTR boxmodelling tutorial that covers a full car, he uses vray displacement for tires.
