Thats not true, turbosquid gives you a minimum of 50% the selling price. I sold some random stuff on there for about 60 bucks and I have a $30 check coming at the end of the month. They also increase your perecentage based on how much you sell.
You can make some good money on there if you sell high volumes of high quality models, but for me its only been a few extra bucks here and there. |

then why does it say on turbosquid that type A users receive 23% gross price at the end of the month and type B users receive 30%
..says so itself excluding things over 500$ then you get ..wtf.. then what .. okay maybe im thinking about 3dm3, which i think i am okay.. 3dm3 you only get 30% or below, turbosquid .. heres what it says For products priced $500 or more, you receive 57%, for products priced $150-$499.99 you get 53%, and less than $150 you get 50%. ![]() Team STi "uh oh, yep i'm flyin through the air, this is not good" |

my main question I suppose would be: would it be considered okay to use blueprints from this site to create a model for sale with?
like, if I had blueprints that I pulled from here, and started a "models for turbosquid" WIP thread, featuring vehicles I'm making with those blueprints from here... would that fly very well? I am under impression that the prints here are donated for whatever purposes needed... but does that include using them for commercial gain? Would we feel generous enough to let some bigwig game company use prints on our site for that matter? I was thinking of creating models for turbosquid as such, but wanted input on that before actually doing so. This thread kinda prompted me to wonder about that again. btw not sure of the pay rate for turbosquid you all are talking about... when I joined it said for models cheaper than $150, it's a 43/57 split of what you get/what they get, for models $150 - 500 or so, it was like a 47/53 split, and greater than $500 it was a 50/50 split ![]()
