3DS Max Car Modeling Tips

I'm a beginner in 3d modeling with 3D Studio Max and I am amazed by everyones work on this forum and I mean EVERYONES! I want to be able to produce similar quality work in the time to come and I would like some tips on getting started on that. Also, what modifiers come in handy to you when you model a car, such as "shell, meshsmooth, etc.." and sub modifiers like chamfer and extrude.

You can look in the tutorial donation section i have made a video tutorial of modeling some things in 3d max which might get you started.
Also most important tools to know are

Extrude
Weld
Cut

The rest you will learn and find out on your own. Such as shell and stuff, but those are modifiers. Only modifier that you should know as of know is mesh smooth or turbosmooth.

Also so edit poly because its got a hell fo alot more things and tools then edit mesh.
