uh.. a scene is only as boring as you make it..
render software cant change how "exciting" something looks

I dont mean the quality of the scene. I mean the quality of the picture (bellow my first post)
It looks like a small jpg with many artefacts

Well I suppose you use Max :?
first try to render at a high res... I ussually use 1280x1024 because this is the same res as my desktop (so I can use the renders as backgrounds) now when it is done rendering save it as a JPG... Now there should be a box called "JPEG Image Control"
put the slider of quality to best and you should get a decent jpg...

attached are two renders, one on low quality and one on high quality
(ps: did these on 800x640 because 1280x1024 take ages to render )

I dont know how to explain, but it looks allready boring before i save it and its also the same when i render in 1280x800 (my desktop).
I think its a problem of the setup from vray, but I dont know where to change it

think its the anti aliasing setting.

in the vray window>image sampler>adaptive QMC, set it to 1-4, and catmull-rom for the antialiasing filter, who will gives you a sharp one.
