[solved] wtf is going on with my MAX?

alright something really farking weird is going on. was working fine, then windows update popped up, I x'ed out of it and go back to max. I had something selected when it popped up, I selected new vertices and when i tried to move them, it went back to my previous selection and moved those verts. Deselected, tried again, went back to what was selected when the window popped up. It wont let me undo anything so Ihad to revert to a saved file.

If that was the extent then it wouldnt be that bad, but when i open max I can select one thing, do one thing like move it or chamfer it, then if I try to select something new it goes back to my first selection, and doesnt let me undo!

please help, what the farking hell is going on??

edit NEVERMIND! Didn't figure out what caused it, but resetting max fixed it... very weird.

well the name of the thread is very suiting so I might aswell post my problem here.

Just a couple of minutes ago my max started to act strange, I did not change any settings because I was modelling a piece of a car. Whenever I press one of the "F" keys (F1 - F12) max chrashes on me and just gives a message:"An error has occured. Max will close now. Do you want to save your work? Yes-No" . Now I tried to toggle the wireframe (F4) by right clicking the viewport and doing it like that, and it works, but none of my "F" work anymore... other hotkeys still work.
ps: I tried reseting max, tried a new file, loaded an old one and they all have it.

EDIT: ok apparently MAX is having a general freak out day.. because just as fast as the issue came it dissapeared again :? Some freaky sh*t is going on here
