when i extrude edges, the edges are seperate. everytime i extrude the edges, i have to select Keep Faces Together. how can i keep those edges together all the time so i wouldnt have to click on Keep Faces Together every time i extrude edges?

once you check keep edged together, it should make it your default setting unless you reset all your setting in maya. Befpre you even click extred faces, make sure that
polygons->tool options -> keep faces together & keep new faces planer.

Do this before anything and it should save it ad you wont have to worry about it no more
